No dogs at 12hr

Just a quick note to let you know that DEC have asked that we have no dogs at the 12hr race.

So please leave Rover at home.

thanks for your co-operation.

Bugger

That's a shame. My team is named after our dog, and he was going to be the mascot.

Oh well I guess he will be staying with the in laws. It will also be strange not seeing Max(facta) at a MTB race.

Is the DEC no dog request just for the 12hr, or is Langford Park always a no dog area?

They're not keen on dogs at

They're not keen on dogs at the best of times but I think it is a standard approval condition for most of our races that there are to be no dogs.

Max isn't just a dog she is more than that.

?

"So please leave Rover at home."

Does that include the make of car as well?

-What an awesome name for a dog Tom'chay

dogs at 12 hour

After Elroy has done so well at school this year, we ended up buying a dog called Astro for Christmas which he got early and was going to bring him to the 12 hour race to show off and to our friend in the mtb world. Having to tell him the sad news will break his heart, but I guess thats part of being a parent. G. Jetson

Given that it's on Alcoa

Given that it's on Alcoa land, how can DEC tell me what to do with my dog?

I find the whole situation aggrieving. Irrespective of whose regulations apply, I'd really like to know the justification for such a regulation. It smacks of knee-jerk ignorance and a lack of care.

Last year whilst helping to

Last year whilst helping to organise this event we were advised that baits had been placed in the vicinity of the course to control for the rapidly increasing fox and feral cat numbers. So I would be advising you to leave your dogs at home!
