Hi Everyone,
The first State Series Cross Country Race has arrived for the year. So we are hoping for a large turn out. The raceing will start at 8.30 am for the Cadets and 9am for the following classes. Please allow enough driving time to get to the event, its approximently 1hr and 10min from Perth.
Track
The track has been marked with bunting. The red / white bunting is used for the majority of the track and follows the 'A' Line. Where there is a Secondary or 'B' Line as an allternate to the 'A' Line this is marked with Black / Yellow Bunting. There is only a coule of 'B' Lines though out the course. It is advisable to check the course out prior to the race as the last 'A' Line is tecnically difficult for riders whom are not use to air time. This A Line can be found in the last kilometer of the course. Their is a B Line as an alternative route. Ifriders do choose to use the A Line as you approach the first ramp which has a small gap to the black log that is laid down and you can not make the gap you are able to go to the right hand side of the log.
Directions
At North Dandalup on the South West Highway (Heading South). Turn left into Del Park Rd (Gull Service Station). Reset the trip odometer to zero.
At 12.8 km you wtll cross the bridge which crosses the South Dandalup River.
500m pass the bridge ( 13.3km) turn right into Scarp Rd. Stay in the main road till your trip odometer reaches 15.9km at which point you will reach a fork in the road. Turn to the Left and yo will arrive at the race venue.
Please be aware that this is a national park and 1080 poison has been dropped. So it is advisable to leave pets( in particular dogs) at home.
Thanks to the volenteers whom came to the busy bee to help prepare the track for this race. Their efforts are much appreciated and therefore will be rewarded with free entry to a club race round, as a token of appreciation from the club.

Will all the other classes
Will all the other classes be starting at 9.00am like a club round?, will there not be different starting times like at last years state rounds?.

The Elite Men, Elite Women,
The Elite Men, Elite Women, Expert Men, Expert Women, Under 19 Men and Veteran Men will all start after the other classes have finished so about 10:30. This is another reason for all the people riding in those classes to pre register by mailing in an entry form today.

I need your money upfront as well as the form because to have multiple groups of pre-rego types makes it too confusing on the day - eg preregoed and paid has plate, preregoed not paid has plate, preregoed and paid to pick up plate, preregoed not paid to pick up plate.

I will not be there and thus the people doing the timing will not know how to enter in any joker who turns up to rego at 10am for the 2nd wave in the middle of them trying to time the 1st wave, so please turn up before 9am otherwise you'll have wasted a trip.
