man, its good to know ur gonna get better.
hope its real soon man.
lucky boy
man your quite lucky, that was a pretty sketchy time when you were passing out halfway down the hill. at one stage you were awake and talking, we had to help you stand up and you were saying you couldnt see a thing. oh by the way i was the guy walkin down the hill with ya. The other guy who drove down in the ute was michael (superchargd on forum). ill pm ya his number
At this time i think it is appropriate to mention first aid courses. a senior first aid certificate is something like $150 and a 2-day course and this means you know what to do. and with events like welli mills you can earn $700 for 2 days work in a laid back atmosphere. well clearing the expense of the course. i will be doing first aid courses soon and recomend it so others as i've been in situations where i have had to take action and only guessed what to do. Also body armour is good, andrew had a nice gouge out of his back that a pressure suit would have saved, and there are backpacks that have incorperated spinal protection.
hope ya get better soon of it drew, just shocking what a little stack can end up like.

I was riding at Mundaring at night when I busted a few ribs and couldn't breath.
They couldn't understand the concept of Night MTB riding and word spread and I had random doctors asking me questions, They dubbed me the "Night rider" Lol
crashes
glad you can walk dude....guys its hard enough being a doc(yes some of us do ride mtbs and at night) and figuring out what you might do should someone crash/find someone esp if you haven't got your emergency dept around you...I get a bit agitated when my colleagues don't realize just how some downhill crashes occur and treat possible neck injuries a little flippantly ...but even a simple xcountry over the bars can do some real damage ......so please do as you are saying and encourage your mates to learn the simple abc's of saving lives and how to keep a neck and broken limbs out of trouble till you get to us & you might just keep them riding let alone walking
