All I can say is thank you thank you thank you to everyone who turned up in the conditions the heavens gave us because the incredible enthusiasm and muddy smiles of everyone out riding made every hour of organisation worthwhile.
I can almost guarantee that will be the wettest 6hr in WA history but be warned the next one may be flooded out!!!

Thank you
Hey Steph
We just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to you, Bron, Chris, John and all the other volunteers for a fantastic day, It was hard, wet, muddy and slippery - but hey I think that made the day so much more fun!
Also It was great to see so many new riders and supporters turn up
Cheers
Tim & Jo B
Bigger thank you than Tim's
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who helped me yesterday after my attempt at being superman (especially Cheryl). Have broken my collarbone quite convincingly. Am home and feeling OK.
Steph - I was just getting ready to tell you at the end of the lap how much fun I was having! Thanks
Amanda
Excellent
Well done to all the organisers and helpers - it was an epic day. Thank you.
The mud is damn gritty between the teeth!
Props from me too...
Yep, my thoughts too. That was one of the best events Ive been to - my first enduro, and thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyed it.
The course was awesome and vibe was excellent. And yes, the rain made it even better!!
Massive props and slaps on the back to all the organisers, volunteers and riders who made it so much fun. Now, whens the 12 hour?
rain, hail or shine
Wanna add my thanks too. No doubt you guys could get a job with the postal service.
Also a shout out to Mick the Hairy Scary Mechanic, who kept squeezing a few extra laps outta my v-brakes - cheers mate!
and mud
I have never ridden in conditions like that. Quite a challenge but great fun.
Thanks to all for organizing it, and for keeping a chipper face on the day. It must have been a bit of a stress for you when the rains keep coming.
I would also like to thank the mechanic for helping me with my disc brakes. That kept me going for another 3 laps.
Rain
Hopefully all of you have stopped swearing @ mother nature!
It was great to see such a large turnout in such interesting conditions! Thanks for coming out and enduring the puddles n mud!
Amanda-How's the pain today & how long will you be in a sling? Happy to help you out whatever way I could yesterday. Remeber to use the trainer to keep those legs a movin!
Stef, Jonesy-Thank you for organizing the event! Your time and effort paid off!
Looking forward to the 12hr..(i'd like to do it a 6 person team..)
C
More Thanks
Great day, even though I had to pull out at 4.5laps when my screaming brakes finally gave in. The sleep deprivation coming off night shift wasn't such a big issue after all.
Thanks to all the organisers, volunteers, photographers and supporters who endured the rain and wind without having the fun that we riding did.
Thanks to my mate Andy for the flip/dismount at the finish line which entertained everyone so well, I hope your arse is recovering.
And thanks for everyone's great spirit, so many smiles and words of encouragement. The "good work, keep it up" as the faster riders went by was great encouragement, and nice to think you guys weren't getting too frustrated at us holding you up.
How's the voice?
How's the voice today Steph?
Great organisation and management of the event in trying conditions - well done Steph, Bron, Steve and everyone who selflessly helped out. It's so nice to have people like you put on great events for people like us.
Also, a BIG thankyou to the event sponsors for the giveaways and prizes. Your visible presence, assistance and support were great.
The trail was ideal for the race - a good mix of all sorts. Even that nasty, muddy bit with the wheel grabbing rocks at the top of the first half loop was fun (for the first couple of laps).
Time to go and wash my muddy little duck.....
Cheers!!
Muddy goodness
Congrates to the organizers on a great day. This was my first mtb event, and i can definately say it wont be my last, seriously contemplating a solo run next time. If i can do 5 laps in competitive times yesterday i think i can do it solo in 'normal' conditions.
I noticed at least one pro photographer (or he was a perv) taking photos. Does anyone know if i can get in contact with him and view the pics and possibly purchase some.
6 hour
Thanks again for a great event, thanks to Steph, Bron,Steve,John and everyone else involved in the organisation of such fun.The rain and mud certainly brought back many happy "mud monster"memories from riding in my home country for many years,I did not expect to be riding in these conditions ever again, not in WA anyway. The course was very good, thanks again for all the riders who took part as well, see you soon.Freddie.
Muddy awesome!
That was the first 6hr I have been to and it was great fun and well run.
Thanks especially to Steph, Bron, Chris, JC and all the other PMBC and Bush Fire volunteers for a fantastic race, just amazing conditions to be riding in, let alone organising and running an event of that scale.
I loved the Goldfish analogy - every lap was different, you really couldn't just blast into some sections like you did the lap before. Everyone was great out on the track, whether they were passing me or I was passing them, I think the crazy conditions definitely elevated the mood - it was just absurd in places!
Thanks also to Wembley Cycles, the Blokes, Fi, GU, Ziggy's Pizza, bananas...
Big thanks to Chris for putting up the awesome prize of Jonesman singlespeed frame that lured me into riding solo.
Cheers,
Steve "objet" Dart
west aussies can ride in mud
despite the rest of the country thinking we always ride in pea gravel, what a great day. Thanks to the organizers , sponsors, other riders and jonesy for being an awesome mechanic ,my bike did not falter. More chicks needed in the solo group!..Thanks to all the vollies and people just being there!! Think of how many people were inside yesterday!!
Now off to find a new back and maybe I can have another go at solo...thanks again everyone
cheers Nik

The Beat Goes on
Thanks to all those involved with the organising of the event it was huge fun. And also the power of the force for seeing my body and bike through 4 laps unscathed........just
A fast recovery to any folks injured and better luck for anyone experiencing a mechanical.

oh that's me 179
Cheers for posting all these man.
Now you can se my ass hanging out after only 1 lap (num. 179). So sad. I really struggled to get any good photo's, it was my first attempt at using my cam in a fast and dark situation and really struggled to get the rider in focus. Clearly I was doing something wrong as you got it every time. As I said to my bro maybe my brain was still frozen. Let me know if you have a formula for success in this situation I would really appreciate it. I have a nikon D60.

The event was a lot of fun
The event was a lot of fun indeed! Thanks to the organisers! ...
I was particularly impressed with Steph Russell doing the entire final presentation in her crash helmet. She obviously was willing to take on anyone who refuted their placing... lol
Fox Shorts
The event was great. Thanks to everyone who pitched in. I was also lucky enough to score a pair of fox shorts at the end of the presentations, anyone know where I can up the size, a little too tight..
Cheers
Today is the 1st day of the rest of your Life.. Ride!!
